About the Role
We’re seeking a reliable and compassionate Kitchen Assistant to join the team at Sedgemoor Road Care Home. You’ll support the Cook with food preparation and kitchen duties, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.
This is a vital role in a busy care setting, where your contribution helps maintain the health, dignity, and comfort of service users. You’ll also deputise for the Assistant Cook when required and work collaboratively with the wider care team.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with simple food preparation and kitchen cleaning
* Supporting dietary needs with sensitivity to health, religious, and cultural preferences
* Maintaining hygiene standards in line with care home policies
* Covering duties in the absence of the Assistant Cook
* Working flexibly across a 7-day rota
