Responsibilities
* Own the procurement strategy and approach for high-value and strategic procurement activity across design, manufacture, install and commissioning projects.
* Oversee indirect expenditure and associated category management approaches, including professional services.
* Ensure a clear strategy on the purchasing of goods and services and enhance the approved supplier register, in consultation with other departments.
* Deliver procurement activity and project tendering in line with processes and procedures to meet objectives and improve safety, delivery, quality, innovation, and cost.
* Provide leadership for the procurement team, including strategy setting, scope allocation, process implementation, and development.
* Negotiate terms and conditions with legal colleagues and provide contractual advice to the business in both setup and delivery of contracts; support in disputes.
* Lead the Tenders and Projects team on the best route to market and drive transformation initiatives to build procurement capabilities and efficiency.
* Manage logistics, weights, dimensions, forecasts, and market changes relevant to procurement and company demand.
* Oversee Purchase Orders, compliance, and support internal and external audits.
* Engage with stakeholders across Framatome to promote Supply Chain awareness and effectiveness.
Profile
* Educated to degree level or above.
* Knowledge of SAP.
* Experience in reviewing, writing and negotiating contracts and model forms (e.g., NEC).
* Experience in managing claims and disputes with suppliers.
* MCIPS qualified.
* Management experience across multiple demands with 5+ years in a procurement/supply chain leadership role.
Person Specification
* Experience with major projects and multiple scope/category procurement.
* Experience in highly regulated industries.
* Strong negotiating skills and knowledge of material procurement and service contracts.
* Strong commercial and contractual acumen with ability to explain contract clauses and educate others.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills.
