Deliver specialist care for patients with respiratory diseases such as COPD, asthma, ILD, and lung infections.
Provide consultant-led outpatient clinics and inpatient ward rounds.
Contribute to acute and general medical on-call rotas as required, ensuring prompt and effective patient care.
Interpret diagnostic investigations, including imaging, spirometry, and blood gases, guiding accurate diagnoses.
Ensure compliance with clinical governance, safety, and quality standards to maintain high care quality.
Primary Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)
Registration & Training:
Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Respiratory Medicine (or within 6 months of CCT)
Completion of CCT in Respiratory and General (Internal) Medicine (or equivalent)
Demonstrable evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Advanced clinical expertise in respiratory medicine
Extensive experience in respiratory and general medicine
Experience in teaching, training, and supervising junior staff members
