Quality Engineer – Problem Resolution Team

What you will be doing:
An exciting opportunity have arisen for a Quality Engineer to join the Aerospace Procurement Problem Resolution Team.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be, working closely with our domestic and external supply chains to manage and prevent defects and to provide data and insight into the causes of non-quality across our external supply chain.
1. Leading activities to effectively manage non-conformance and protect the supply chain from Quality escapes
2. Leading cross functional teams to ensure that build protection strategies are implemented
3. Provide support in our manufacturing facilities to implement the processes to protect the business against non-conformance
4. Provide coaching and support to the wider procurement organisation by sharing best practise across the organisation on management of non-conformance
5. Coaching and supporting problem-solving activities with the external supply chain
6. Providing data and support to the supplier management teams to monitor and measure the performance and effectiveness of their external supply chain.
7. Identifying opportunities to improve Quality and implementing plans to deliver that improvement

8. Educated to a minimum Apprenticeship level in a technical engineering discipline, coupled with a background of working in an operational Quality role
9. Good problem solving, data analysis and presentation skills
10. Interpersonal savvy, planning and personal organisation skills and the ability to influence others
11. Demonstrable evidence of business acumen; relating to quality, improvement, manufacturing and HSE activities and priorities
12. Knowledge and demonstrable application of Quality and BI tools, i.e., 8D investigation, improvement methodologies
13. Able to coach and mentor others
14. Strong customer focus
