Our client is a family-run care home set in 5 acres of beautiful countryside. They support 35 elderly residents with varying needs and aim to provide a home-from-home environment where residents are supported and cared for by a dedicated and consistent team.
They are looking for an experienced team leader who is passionate about enhancing the lives of their residents.
The Role
* Support the senior in the daily running of the home, stepping into the shoes of the senior when necessary.
* Assist in leading a team of staff to ensure high standards of care practice are maintained and act as a role model in a team.
* Liaise with outside professionals regarding the changing needs of the residents.
* Take responsibility for organization and support during specific shifts.
* Administer medication rounds on specific shifts.
* Review and update care plans and risk assessments as needed to support the senior.
* Demonstrate person-centred care in practice.
* Work with care staff and residents to deliver high-quality personal care.
* Assist residents with food and fluids during mealtimes.
* Have a good knowledge of mental capacity assessments and deprivation of liberty safeguards.
Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum NVQ or diploma Level 2 (Level 3 preferred) in health and social care.
* Full UK Driving License.
* Proven experience in a team leader role.
* IT literate with good knowledge and understanding of record keeping.
* A friendly and approachable personality.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* A good understanding of how to interact with residents living with dementia.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis between 7am and 9pm (7:2 or 2:9 shifts; must work a variety).
* Ability to work alternate weekends.
