The job itself
Hours of work: 4 hours per week
Days/Times: Tuesday for 1 hour and Friday for 3 hours.
Rate of Pay: £13.50 per hour is employed / £19.00 per hour if self-employed.
About the recipient
The individual is male who resides in Everthorpe. They require a dedicated and suitable person to support them.
About the role
3 hours Friday to support gentleman to a Parkinson's exercise group and 1 hour on Tuesday to encourage/support gentleman to complete domestic tasks and cook a meal.
About the candidate
The suitable candidate must:
1. Be motivated, proactive and able to work on their own initiative.
2. Be patient, caring and understanding.
3. Have good communication skills (clear and effective communication).
4. Be able to build a positive relationship with the individual to both encourage and support them.
5. Be flexible to accommodate the hours of work where necessary.
6. Must have use of own car, to transport individual to social activities and appointments.
7. Be comfortable with animals to assist with the individual's dog, English bulldog / boxer.
DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post - Cost to be met by the local authority.
