The Company

PrePitched is an equipment dry hire company specialising in the dry hire of 5m Bell Tents, polypropylene matting and single beds, giving resilience to the UK’s glamping industry and other accommodation providers. PrePitched gives those providers a source of additional stock to call upon to provide affordable temporary increase in assets to fulfill events without having to purchase and store additional equipment. The company operates seasonally, with busiest times between March - October, from a small depot in Eastgate. Alongside the rental side of the business, PrePitched sells spares and tents online throughout the year via the online shop.

The small family owned company was founded in 2022, and the owners have extensive experience in the Glamping Industry and Events Industry, since 2009 and 1999 respectively.

The Role

Split between the office and depot, this role requires someone with great administrative skills who is just as comfortable in a warehouse environment. The office aspect entails working closely supporting the Managing Director with client management, quoting, business development, procurement, and general business management tasks. Depot management requires managing the inventory, preparing for events, loading and unloading trucks, checking assets, fixing issues and more; with occasional work required onsite at event hires - overseeing crossloading from one event straight to another and inspecting assets. The right candidate will take responsibility for the depot, forging strong relationships with the depot occupier owners and community there.

This is a multi faceted role requiring a broad range of skills and experience, and flexibility to respond to client needs. The right candidate will be passionate about helping a new business grow and succeed, with the opportunity to grow with it.

The role will be long term, with training and benefits.

Role Requirements

* Strong and able to lift heavy loads
* Basic understanding of tents / canvas
* Good customer interaction - remote and face to face
* Good phone manner and comfortable with Google Meet
* Full driving license
* Excellent organisational skills
* Proficient with Google Suite
* Good numeracy and copywriting skills
* Good with logistics and forward planning
* Willing and able to learn and proficiently use new systems
* Good at problem solving
* Flexible - occasional weekends or out of hours time required at depot.
* Experienced forklift driver
* Marketing experience
* Woodworking and handy person skills

Experience

2 years in a management role

Proven record of client management

Experience in warehouse/depot management role

* Happy to clean equipment
* Reliably can carry out instructions / requests in full
* Driven and self motivated
* Logical and good at liaising with MD

Remuneration

Competitive wage (open to PAYE or self employed basis)
