One to One Personnel is excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Permanent Road Freight Operations Manager with a reputable company based in Stanford Le Hope, Essex. The successful candidate will bring their expertise in Senior Management coupled with a strong background in Warehousing and Distribution. This role offers the chance to lead a dedicated team and contribute to the company's growth and efficiency in road freight operations. The candidate will have a strong undertstanding of import and export.
Purpose:
Cut costs, boost revenue, and drive bold, innovative management strategies that push the business forward. Spearhead growth, execute BRC strategy, and ensure seamless, high-performance operations across logistics, shipping, production, warehousing, and supply chain management—setting the pace for excellence!
Key Responsibilities:
Financial & Operational Leadership: Set and manage branch budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive profitability through efficient resource allocation and strategic decision-making.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety laws, certifications, and ISO standards while integrating these regulations into daily operations.
Performance Management: Evaluate, analyse, and refine reports to optimise branch performance. Set KPIs aligned with SLAs for staff and service providers to enhance accountability and efficiency.
Strategic Relations & Negotiation: Build strong relationships with suppliers and service providers, ensuring competitive rates and seamless logistics operations.
Team Development & Leadership: Oversee recruitment, training, and management of departmental staff, fostering a professional, customer-focused, and collaborative team culture.
Site Oversight: Manage stock control, materials handling, warehousing, distribution, and shipping operations to ensure streamlined supply chain performance.
Continuous Improvement & Project Implementation: Lead improvement initiatives within ETA frameworks, implementing operational enhancements and project management strategies.
Customer Service Excellence: Assess service levels, address customer complaints, and proactively improve satisfaction to exceed company expectations.
Health & Safety Leadership: Uphold a strong safety culture by enforcing compliance, risk management, and proactive safety measures across all departments. Actively contribute as a member of the Food Safety Team.
Strategic Planning & Execution: Direct the organisation’s activities to meet targets related to service, quality, and compliance. Ensure all operations adhere to lawful and ethical standards.
You will be required to attend senior management meetings in the UK and or overseas.
What's in it for you?
Salary £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (flexibility maybe required)
