AMLR is partnering with a reputable engineering company to recruit a skilled, reliable, and time-served Press Brake Operator to join their team.
Important: Due to the nature of the market our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents.
Job Summary: Press Brake Operator
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend, form, or straighten sheet metal and metal components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Press Brake Operator
* Set up and operate press brake machines to produce parts according to blueprints, drawings, or work orders.
* Select and install correct tooling, dies, and machine settings for the desired operations.
* Perform quality checks using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
* Adjust machine settings to correct material defects or meet tight tolerances.
* Inspect finished parts for accuracy, finish, and structural integrity.
* Perform routine machine maintenance and report any mechanical issues to maintenance or supervision.
* Maintain documentation of production runs, quality checks, and maintenance logs.
* Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications: Press Brake Operator
* High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training preferred)
* Proven experience operating a press brake machine in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
* Have experience using Amada Press Brake
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
* Strong understanding of sheet metal properties and bending processes
* Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, protractors, micrometers)
* Knowledge of machine setup and troubleshooting
* Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
* Commitment to quality and safety
Preferred Skills (optional): Press Brake Operator
* Experience with CNC press brake programming
* Basic computer skills for data entry or machine interface
This is a Temporary Role for 3 months
