A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Finance Manager to join a dynamic and fast-paced division on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. Based in Chelmsford, this role offers the chance to contribute significantly to the financial performance and leadership of the business. Key Responsibilities: Support the Finance Director in ensuring the finance team is well-resourced, supported, and effectively managed. Provide departmental leadership in the Finance Director’s absence to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Assist with monthly forecasting and contribute to the preparation of the three- and five-year divisional business plans. Attend and contribute to surveying/valuation meetings, offering financial insight and challenge where appropriate. Support accurate and timely financial reporting and general financial management duties. Assist with payment and payroll processing, ensuring compliance with internal systems and timelines.Qualifications and Experience: Professionally qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). Demonstrable experience in financial management, ideally within a construction or property-related environment. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide and support a finance team. High-level analytical thinking and sound problem-solving abilities.
