A fantastic leadership opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Head of Computing to lead a forward-thinking department at a progressive secondary school in Hillingdon. This pivotal role requires an inspiring leader to develop an engaging curriculum, foster computational thinking, and ensure outstanding progress for all students in Computer Science and IT.
The Role
The Head of Computing will:
* Provide strategic leadership and management for the entire Computing department.
* Oversee curriculum design, assessment, and the quality of teaching and learning across KS3-5 (including GCSE Computer Science and A-Level).
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of passionate Computing teachers.
* Manage departmental resources, including software and hardware.
* Promote digital literacy, online safety, and an understanding of the impact of technology.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an exceptional Computing teacher with QTS/QTLS and proven leadership experience who:
* Possesses a strong academic background in Computer Science or a related field.
* Demonstrates strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
* Is innovative, data-driven, and committed to continuous improvement in Computing education.
* Is keen to embed practical coding, computational thinking, and real-world applications into the curriculum.
