At Eastchurch Church of England Primary School, part of the Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Lead to lead our thriving early years provision.

What You Will Do
As our Nursery Lead, you will:
1. Lead the delivery of high‑quality education, learning and care for early years children.
2. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
3. Provide day‑to‑day leadership, supervision and mentoring for nursery staff.
4. Plan and oversee engaging weekly learning activities and enrichment events.
5. Build strong partnerships with parents and the wider community.
6. Manage the key person system, nurturing positive relationships with children and families.
7. Oversee observations, assessment and record keeping, ensuring progress is monitored effectively.
8. Act as the Early Years SENCO, working with professionals and school SEND team to support children with SEND.
9. Lead on health, safety and safeguarding, acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for early years.
10. Manage resources, budgets, staff deployment and performance management processes.

12. QTS status desirable

16. Brings enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine passion for early years education.
