About the role
This role sits within the Mental Health Pathways cluster and works across the Youth Residential Recovery Program (YRR) and Youth Outreach Recovery Support (YORS), supporting young people aged 16-25 experiencing mental health challenges.

The Youth Engagement Worker plays a key role in delivering high-quality, recovery-focused services, with a strong focus on engagement activities that build life skills and enhance client experience. The role works across three YRR sites (primary site negotiable) and requires some flexibility in shifts, including overnight camps.

Your duties include:

4. Identify, develop, (co)-facilitate and evaluate a range of group opportunities that engage and support young people to access appropriate groups within the youth team and the community
5. Supporting involvement in the cohealth Youth Advisory Committee, collecting feedback and advocating on behalf of young people's needs
6. Maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external providers, that enhance the experience of young people
7. Ensure cohealth standards of client health record are upheld and all interactions with young people are recorded

Our ideal candidate:

14. Tertiary qualification and/or commensurate work experience in fields related to mental health and youth work
15. 3+ years' experience working with young people who may have a range of complex needs relating to their mental health
16. Demonstrated experience in group codesign, development, facilitation and evaluation
17. Strong belief and personal alignment in cohealth Values and Mission
