Predominantly operating in the residential and commercial sectors, we are seeking a passionate Civil Engineer to join our team.
Main Role & Duties:
* Drainage Strategies; production of drainage strategy drawing/details, including maintenance plan schedules, suitable for submission to the Local Authority in support of planning applications.
* SuDs; Lead the design and integration of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS) to manage surface water runoff, reduce flood risks, and enhance water quality.
* Detailed Drainage Design; detailed design of underground drainage networks, utilising Causeway Flow design software for surface water modelling, where required.
· Flood Risk Assessments; conduct flood risk assessments to evaluate potential flood hazards, identify vulnerable areas and propose mitigation measures.
· External Works & Highways; calculation and co-ordination of site levels, specification of external works construction details, production of drawings and details for sectional agreements.
* Attend client and design team meetings to convey and relay key issues on technical matters, as well as programme, contractual and commercial matters, with support from colleagues.
Experience, Qualifications & Attributes
· Good experience and understanding of highway and drainage design, including SuDS.
· Familiarity with highways and drainage sectional agreements.
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or similar), with minimum 3 years post graduate experience.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Full UK driving licence.
· Have a passion for the built environment and a desire to continually develop and learn new skills.
Job Particulars & Benefits
· Full-time, permanent role. Office based, though hybrid available.
· 8.30am-5.00pm Monday – Friday (1 hour lunch) [flexible]
· 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, plus Christmas period (as a family focused company you will never have to work Christmas Eve, or the period between Christmas and New Year).
