We are currently seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Blackburn. About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support students with a range of special educational needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning barriers.
This is a full-time position, ideally suited to someone with previous experience in a similar role or a strong passion for working with children with additional needs. Key Responsibilities: Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN Assisting in the delivery of tailored learning programmes Supporting pupils with personal care (if required) Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment Collaborating with teaching staff, therapists and parents/carers The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous experience working with children with SEN (in school or care settings) A calm, nurturing and empathetic approach Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to build strong, positive rela...
