Location : Hybrid (3 days office based at the Royal College of Surgeons, two days working from home) Salary : £35,000 - £40,000 Hours : Full time BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons) is looking to recruit a dynamic Committee and Memberships Manager to join their team on a full time, hybrid basis. BAPRAS speaks for the majority of reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgeons providing services to patients in the UK today. As the voice of plastic surgery, BAPRAS sees its role as increasing understanding of the scope of plastic surgery. They aim to raise the profile of plastic surgeons as an intrinsic element of care teams providing specialist care to patients with a wide range of conditions. Continuing their objective of advancing education, BAPRAS is always looking to promote innovation within the speciality of plastic surgery. In this key role you will act as a trusted advisor to the Professional Standards Committee and Council, overseeing its day to day management and ensuring adherence to current good governance practices. You will also provide invaluable assistance to the Membership Committee on various aspects of BAPRAS' membership programme including recruitment, retention, engagement, and administration. What you’ll do: - In conjunction with the Professional Standards Committee/Council develop, review and implement professional standards, codes of conduct and accreditation procedures Provide advice and guidance to the Committee and Council on such matters governance, constitution, elections and Committee members participation Attend and contribute to meetings as required to include but not limited to presenting reports or papers, giving procedural and constitutional advice and providing updates on actions etc. Ensure the effective and timely delivery of administration work surrounding the Professional Standards Committee, including creating agendas and papers, taking minutes, ensuring actions are undertaken in a timely fashion and committee members are recruited for as required Assist the Membership Committee in analysing and developing the membership offering, monitor engagement and taking positive action to address potential non-renewals Ensure the effective and timely delivery of administration work surrounding membership including processing applications, dealing with queries from or about members, ensuring records are kept up to date and members are in correct categories, recruitment of new members and manage membership renewals What you’ll need:- Demonstrable experience of working with Committees, showing a strong understanding of ethically practice, governance, risk management and administrative functions Experience administrating membership programmes Experience in leading or assisting with strategic membership recruitment and retention campaigns Proficiency with CRM and membership management software A passion for building relationships and fostering a strong sense of community Excellent attention to detail. Excellent written, verbal and numerical skills to produce clear and objectively written reports and advise on complex issues.
