Job Advert Role Description
As a support worker you will be helping the people we support with all aspects of their lives, including personal care, accessing the community, developing independent living skills, supporting with new experiences and reaching goals whilst developing confidence, self esteem and promoting empowerment.
Each day as a Support Worker is different due to the wide range of activities that you can get involved in both within the home such as–cooking, laundry, arts and crafts and the community based activities - which include, bowling, swimming, cinema, disco and much more!
Our ideal support worker will:
1. Have a positive, enthusiastic, can do attitude with a willingness to learn and develop not only yourself but the people we support.
2. Have a fun, caring and patient approach, and be able to work as part of a team to support the residents to achieve their daily plans and goals.
3. Be flexible in your thought – things can change!
4. Be willing to take part and support in activities both within the home and the community. – you don’t have to be able to drive to do this.
5. Have a resilient approach, residents can display behaviours that challenge – full training and support is provided.
