Role: M&E Quantity Surveyor

Pay: £60K - £80K + package (will also consider freelance)

Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of multiple M&E projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. You will work closely with project teams to ensure cost efficiency and the highest standards of quality in all M&E services provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage cost estimates for mechanical and electrical services across multiple projects.
* Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met and value for money is achieved.
* Perform cost analysis and value engineering, identifying opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project costs are accurately tracked and managed.
* Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring the best value is obtained.
* Review and process variations and change orders, managing any cost fluctuations.
* Assist in preparing tender documentation and support with the bidding process.
* Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
* Conduct site visits as necessary to ensure the effective delivery of projects, with occasional travel to different locations across London and the South East.
Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical services.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (RICS accreditation preferred).
* Strong background in M&E systems and construction processes, ideally within the building services sector.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as CostX, Excel, or similar.
* Full UK driving license and flexibility to attend site visits as required.
