Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Chef de Partie to join our team in our brand new refurbished hotel. This is a crucial role in the kitchen reporting to both the Sous Chef and Head Chef, ensuring the quality and consistency of our dishes, menu input and giving full support to our Senior Chefs and Management
Duties:
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes from a specific kitchen section
- Manage daily food preparation, check inventory, and ensure all necessary ingredients are available and properly stored for their section.
- Monitor portion and waste control to ensure costs remain within budget
- Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in developing new dishes and menu items
- Be responsible for the safe and correct use of department utensils and kitchen equipment
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Expertise in their chosen section
- Ability to work effectively as part of a kitchen brigade with strong communication skills
- High standards for food quality, hygiene, and presentation-Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively during busy service periods
