About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Care Support Worker to support one female adult living with tetraplegia and complex health needs. This is a 2:1 care package, requiring attentive, person-centred support at all times.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone experienced in complex care who is confident working with clinical interventions and providing high-quality daily support within the person's own home.
Key Responsibilities
* Personal Care & Clinical Support
o Assisting with dressing and undressing
o Full personal care support
o Suprapubic catheter care, including
+ Connecting/disconnecting night drainage
+ Monitoring for blockages and reporting concerns
o Supporting with neurogenic bowel management, including
+ Digital rectal checks
+ Administration of glycerine suppositories
o Blood pressure monitoring and ability to elevate concerns appropriately
o Supporting physiotherapy exercises
o Hoist transfers and safe repositioning
o Pressure area care and regular skin checks
* Daily Living Support
o Preparing food and drinks
o Administering medication in line with care plans
o Providing companionship and emotional support
Requirements
* Previous experience in complex care (essential)
* In-date DBS certificate
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Confident with clinical tasks and escalation procedures
* Ability to work effectively as part of a 2:1 care team
* Compassionate, reliable and professional approach
