Archer Resourcing have a great opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Pre-Birth team in Newcastle.
You will be working as part of the dedicated Pre-Birth Team where you will be providing individualised support to parents throughout their pregnancy by completing holistic assessments of need and risk. As an experienced Social Worker, you will be making sure that soon to be parents are receiving adequate support from the earliest opportunity to ensure that they can safely care for their child straight from birth.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Completing pre-birth assessments
* Providing support to individuals to ensure they are able to provide sufficient care for their new-born
* Supporting parents to achieve and sustain change, enabling them to provide safe appropriate parenting to their child
* Safely plan and risk manage the safeguarding needs of the unborn baby including initiating care proceedings
Requirements:
* Social Work England registered
* Enhanced DBS. Dated within the last 12 months- on the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today
* Hold a full UK licence, as well as access to own vehicle
* Have knowledge and experience of statutory frameworks; policy and procedure; and best practice
* Past experience in a similar role
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
