Specialty Urology Doctor – Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust
Join a top‑ranked acute hospital trust in South‑East England: a unique one‑year whole‑time appointment for a trainee or established middle‑grade Urological Surgeon. The role is based mainly at Maidstone Hospital, with additional duties at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, Pembury or other Trust sites.
Responsibilities
* Perform clinical duties as a middle‑grade Urological Surgeon, primarily at Maidstone Hospital with additional work at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, Pembury or other sites within the Trust.
* Participate in the urology middle‑grade registrar rota, including 1:8 on‑call duties.
* Attend clinics, operating sessions, and ward rounds of senior surgeons; engage in additional training sessions and weekly MDM meetings.
* Respond to occasional emergencies and irregular outside‑rota duties; deputise for absent colleagues when required.
* Maintain continuous professional development, including weekly MDM meetings and consultant‑led teaching sessions covering the core FRCS (Urol) curriculum.
Qualifications / Eligibility
* Qualified in Urology with a demonstrated record of clinical practice at a middle‑grade level.
* Experience as a trainee Urologist nearing completion of specialist registrar training or an established middle‑grade Urologist.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in national urology teaching and training programmes.
