Position
Lecturer in Accounting & Finance for BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility required to teach weekdays, evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess student work ensuring learning outcomes met.
* Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate.
* Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials.
* Actively engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
* Stay up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
* Work towards clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance obtained in the UK or equivalent.
* Previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation and Audit.
* Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
* Accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records.
* Work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills.
* Work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
* Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years.
* Fully qualified from PSRBs such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and/or IFA.
