Overview
Occupational Therapist role at Oxford Outcomes (part of Outcomes First Group). Location: Syon Grange School – Isleworth, London TW7 5AJ, with flexibility to work across Hillingdon Manor sites as required. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with hours to overlap core school hours. Permanent contract (term-time only or flexible around full-time contract can be discussed based on personal circumstances). Up to £53,200 FTE DOE plus £5,000 Welcome Bonus (Welcome Bonus paid as £2,500 after one month and £2,500 upon completion of final probation, terms & conditions apply).
Outcomes First Group is a leading provider of education with multiple divisions, offering a multidisciplinary clinical team across sites to support pupils with developing independence and positive outcomes. This role sits within a collaborative clinical team working with education colleagues to deliver occupational therapy in an educational setting.
Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent, or have SEMH needs.
* Hold an occupational therapy caseload with support from a designated clinical supervisor and site lead.
* Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
* Work within the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working to guide practice in an education setting and align with governing and professional body requirements.
* Collaborate with education teams to promote pupil independence and provide service within a multidisciplinary framework.
* Contribute to developing an enhanced occupational therapy offer by supporting apprentices, students, and therapy assistants.
* Engage in safeguarding and maintain a person-centred approach in all interactions with pupils.
Essential Criteria
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
* Valid and up-to-date HCPC Registration
* Registered member of RCOT
* Experience providing occupational therapy services within a similar educational or clinical setting (preferred)
* Experience with neurodivergent individuals and/or those with learning, social-emotional, or mental health needs; able to evidence transferrable skills
* Sound knowledge of OT theory and practical application to support independence
* Experience working in a multi-professional team
* Ability to work independently, flexibly and confidently
* Clear and concise report writing skills
* Full UK driving license with access to a car
* Interest in sensory integration or SI practice (training in progress or completed preferred, not essential)
