Assistant Buyer

What You’ll Be Doing
* Request and analyze supplier quotes, manage pricing records, and keep communication flowing.
* Champion procurement best practices and ensure compliance with internal processes.
* Lead and support resource projects, resolve procurement issues, and tackle invoice discrepancies.
* Onboard new suppliers and build strong, lasting vendor partnerships.
* Collaborate closely with the Site Buyer and contribute to cross‑functional procurement initiatives.
* Navigate a variety of systems including Team Centre, Power BI, PROcure, Glovia, and more.
* Drive continuous improvement across quality, cost, logistics, development, and management (QCLDM).
* Own the full procurement cycle—from negotiating contracts to managing inventory and deliveries.
* Keep procurement documentation sharp, current, and audit‑ready.

* Step in to support the Legacy/Service Buyer when needed.
* Help the Direct Procurement team prepare for audits and maintain documentation excellence.
