Extrusion Operative
Location: Antrim
Rate of Pay: £14.31per hour
Shift Pattern: Continental shifts (2-week rotation)
1. Days: 6:00am – 6:00pm
2. Nights: 6:00pm – 6:00am
About the Role
Our client, a leading manufacturer within the building materials sector, is seeking an Extrusion Operative to join their production team. Operating in a modern, machine-driven environment, you will play a key role in producing high-quality uPVC products used in window and door systems for both bespoke and high-volume projects.

Key Responsibilities
3. Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion machinery in line with production schedules
4. Ensure all products meet required quality specifications and report defects where necessary
5. Perform routine quality checks and accurately complete production documentation
6. Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments to maintain optimal efficiency
7. Assist with tool changes, machine start-ups, and shutdowns
8. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
9. Ensure correct handling and loading of raw materials
10. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
11. Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
12. Support basic maintenance tasks and assist with troubleshooting faults
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
13. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
14. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
15. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
16. Good communication skills
17. Flexibility and willingness to work shift patterns
Desirable (but not essential)
18. Experience operating extrusion machinery (ideally within uPVC manufacturing)
19. Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
20. Mechanical aptitude or experience with machinery troubleshooting
