About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join a Social Housing team and lead the design and delivery of vital housing projects in the Derby area at a competitive salary of 40,000 annually.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the local community through the management and oversight of residential developments, refurbishments, and ongoing maintenance.


Key Responsibilities

* As a Structural Engineer, ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
* Manage technical aspects of projects, including reviewing plans, calculations, and specifications.
* Conduct site inspections and liaise with contractors, architects, and project managers to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Communicate with key stakeholders to ensure project objectives align with community needs and expectations.

To Thrive in This Role, You Will Need

* A degree in Civil or a HND in Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
* Extensive experience in designing and delivering housing projects, with a focus on both new builds and refurbishment.
* Proficiency with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro).
* Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
