We're looking for a Principal Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation team in Brixworth, Northamptonshire. In this role, you'll be part of the Bridges and Structures team, responsible for the successful delivery of bridge inspections and maintenance schemes on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council and West Northamptonshire Council. A full driving licence is essential for this position. With this role expect a competitive salary, £5.9k annual car allowance, private healthcare plus benefits.

As a Principal Bridge Engineer, you will assess bridge conditions through inspections and develop design solutions for maintenance and structural issues. You'll take the lead on scheme delivery and be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Develop and implement bridge and highway structures schemes to specification, budget and agreed targets
Preparing design information including AutoCAD drawings to Kier standards, Bills of Quantities and Pre-Construction Information
Manage multiple projects at any one time, prioritising resources to achieve the required delivery programme for each
Carry out occasional bridge inspections to ensure team hit contractual KPI's
This role of Principal Bridge Engineer is great for you if:
In-depth experience in assessment, design and construction of highway structures to UK standards
Experience of working in a local highway authority environment and the ability to understand the clients' requirements
Principal Inspection experience to CS450 including report writing and developing maintenance works package
