PPG Advisory Partners is the executive search and consulting offering from Planet Pharma. Our executive search group is dedicated to serving the Life Sciences community, through the placement of senior to executive level (Sr. Director and VP to C-level) professionals. We work on retained and exclusive assignments to place candidates within high growth companies, typical clients are start-up and emerging biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and tenacious individual to join the team as a Business Development Manager /Director & Client Partner (CP) to proactively solicit and build client relationships to secure executive search assignments. You will work in line with Planet Pharma’s strategy, policy, and procedures to realize the market opportunity and capitalize on business expansion opportunities.
Responsibilities
* The Client Partner (CP) will develop and hold significant high-profile relationships with Company clients.
* The CP will be responsible for building client relationships, managing the RFP and RFI process and managing each executive search assignment from kick-off to search completion.
* Develop corporate sales and lead-generation plan to achieve goals; plan and coordinate all client communication e.g., outreach, kick off meeting, review and coordination of slated candidates and associated activities to manage the search to completion.
* Prepare proposal documents serving as the single point of contact for the client.
* Actively seek new business opportunities through a variety of channels, working intelligently in line with market trends, industry news, and sales strategy. Work in a solution orientated manner to proactively promote Planet Pharma and PPG Advisory to successfully secure new clients and assignments.
* Effectively work with our Executive Recruitment Delivery and Research team to meet client hiring needs.
* Develop, build, and maintain relationships with new and existing clients and work with internal and external stakeholders to create communication lines to support successful fulfilment of client needs.
* Negotiate and conclude deals with clients and propose contracts / service agreements (MSAs) in consultation with management.
* Handle the communication between client portfolio and various internal departments, by acting as a primary point of contact, to drive opportunity and keep clients optimally informed.
* Ensure administration of all relevant data, information, and documents, in accordance with internal guidelines and practice, in such a way that relevant information is always correct and available in our ATS system.
* Travel as required to deliver presentation and pitch meetings virtually or at client site.
Qualifications
* Extensive Business Development/Sales/Recruitment in the pharmaceutical, biotech related Industries.
* Must have previously sold retained search solutions and be familiar with the space.
* Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
* High level proficiency using Microsoft Office suite.
Required Skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
* Business acumen, negotiation skills, and commercial awareness. Understanding of how to price and negotiate retained search proposals.
* Interpersonal & Communication Skills. Ability to communicate and cooperate with individuals and groups, including conflict resolution, stress management, diversity awareness, teamwork, and group dynamics.
* Ability to leverage and translate sourcing knowledge to provide input to key sourcing initiatives and project.
