Recruitment Consultant - Aerospace and Defence
Are you a Stress Analyst with F&DT experience coupled with the ability to analyse the F&DT requirements of Aircraft Structural Repairs?
We have an exciting new Permanent Staff role that may suit your skills and experience. Working as part of a dynamic and reactive team you will be responsible for the Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) assessment of Wing structures. Your primary role will be to provide Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analysis for the repair/acceptance of damaged aircraft structures.
Location: Filton, Bristol
Responsibilities
* Liaise with customer technical focal points as needed.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, presenting technical issues and proposing solutions.
* Support the Team Leader in defining task approaches, estimating timescales, and resource requirements.
* Take ownership of both routine and complex engineering tasks.
* Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with customer expectations.
* Comply with Belcan’s Quality Management System (QMS).
Required Technical Skills
* Strong foundation in hand analysis methods, with the ability to apply and adapt a wide range of calculation techniques to real-world scenarios, supported by technical documentation.
* Experience with Finite Element (FE) techniques.
* Proficiency in coding and macro development.
* Familiarity with Airbus and BAE Systems methods and processes
What you will bring to Belcan
We’re looking for someone with prior experience in a relevant field or academic background, capable of performing routine technical tasks and contributing to process improvement initiatives. You should be comfortable solving complex engineering problems independently, with minimal supervision. The role demands a strong focus on technical delivery, quality, and the ability to balance engineering responsibilities with commercial and project time lines.
