You will be responsible for the overall clinical leadership of the medical team, including developing clinical pathways, clinical governance, and providing high-quality clinical supervision.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing a caseload in accordance with NICE guidelines
* Leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care and supporting colleagues
* Leading the Care Programme Approach process, providing medical reports, and endorsing CPA meeting minutes
* Liaising and collaborating with external care coordinators and commissioners
* Working with GPs and practice nurses to ensure high-quality physical health and wellbeing care
* Undertaking administrative duties related to patient care
* Supporting the Hospital Director in in-service and business planning activities for the locality and entire service
* Participating in annual appraisals for Consultants
* Attending and contributing to Elysium’s academic programme, including lectures and seminars for internal CPD
* Jointly leading managers and professional colleagues to ensure efficient service operation
You will also be required to participate in the On Call Consultant rota.
To be successful, you will need to:
* Be medically qualified, with MRC Psych or equivalent
* Hold Section 12(2) approval to work in England and Approved clinician status
* Have full GMC registration with a licence to practice
* Be innovative and capable of initiating corporate decisions
* Possess an understanding of current developments in psychiatry and mental health
* Have substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, and contemporary mental health issues, including contractual matters in purchaser/provider contexts
* Have previous experience as a Consultant in a management role
