What you’ll be doing
As Junior Sous Chef, you’ll support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen:
7. Assist with menu planning and seasonal dish development
8. Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
9. Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
10. Train and support junior team members
11. Help manage stock control and minimise waste
12. Ensure food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are maintained
What we’re looking for
13. Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef, Sous Chef, or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
14. Passion for fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced food
15. Strong leadership and communication skills
16. Positive attitude and team-focused approach
17. Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance
18. Level 2 Food Safety qualification preferred
