3. Managing the VAT affairs of the organisation and ensuring compliance with regulations.
4. Providing expert VAT advice to the wider Tax department and stakeholders.
5. Developing and implementing VAT strategies to optimise the organisation's tax position.
6. Collaborating with other departments to ensure understanding and correct application of VAT.
7. Staying abreast of changes in VAT legislation and assessing the potential impact on the business.
8. Preparing and reviewing VAT returns and other necessary documentation.
9. Managing relationships with external advisers and authorities.
10. Leading and mentoring junior members of the Tax department.
The Successful Applicant
A successful VAT Manager should have:
11. A professional qualification in Tax or Accounting.
12. Proven experience in a similar VAT role within Practice or inhouse environment
13. Strong technical knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
14. Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
15. A strategic approach to problem-solving and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
