Location: Southport Contract: Temporary (with potential for ongoing work) Hours: Full-time and part-time roles available Pay: Competitive rates depending on experience As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils reach their full potential. You'll be supporting teachers in the classroom, working one-to-one or with small groups, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Some of your key responsibilities: Behaviour and Emotional Support Supervise pupils during break times, lunch, and school trips. Ensure pupil safety and well-being at all times. Support pupils with additional needs Liaise with teachers, parents, and other staff as needed. Encourage positive behaviour and help manage classroom behaviour. Set up learning materials and resources before lessons. Assist in delivering lessons under the guidance of the class teacher. Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning. Help pupils stay focused and engaged during activities. What We're Looking For: Experience working with children in any setting (e.g., schools, nurseries, youth groups, care) Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential. A proactive, caring, and flexible approach. Availability to work over the next couple of months and ready to start in January.
