Responsibilities
:
1. Orchestration ingestion and storage of raw data into structured or unstructured solutions.
2. Design, Develop, Deploy and Support data infrastructure, pipelines and architecture.
3. Implement reliable, scalable, and tested solutions to automate data ingestion.
4. Development of systems to manage batch processing and real-time streaming of data.
5. Evaluate business needs and objectives.
6. Support the implementation of data governance requirements.
7. Facilitate pipelines, which prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modelling.
8. Working with domain teams to scale the processing of data.
9. Identify opportunities for data acquisition
10. Combine raw information from different sources.
11. Manage and maintain automated tools for data quality and reliability.
12. Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability.
13. Collaborate with data scientists, IT and architects on several projects
Required Skillset:
14. Technical expertise in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, data warehouses, and leveraging data services.
15. Proficient in DataOps methodologies and tools, including experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and workflow orchestration.
16. Familiar with ETL/ELT frameworks, and experienced with Big Data Processing Tools (e.g. Spark, Airflow, Hive, etc.)
17. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, SQL)
18. Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL database design
19. Degree in STEM, or similar field; a master's is a plus
20. Data engineering certification (e.g IBM Certified Data Engineer) is a plus
