Overview
CNC Turner – Birmingham. Contract – 3 months minimum with prospect of extension to 6 months. Nights – 48 hours per week, 4 days per week. EMBS Engineering is recruiting for a CNC Turner to join a precision engineering company located in Birmingham. The client is an established advanced manufacturing business specialising in machining small sub-assembly components for high-profile aerospace organisations.
As part of the company’s growth strategy, they are looking to onboard a skilled CNC Turner to work on the night shift to help increase output and add further expertise.

Key Benefits
* £27 - £33 per hour (inside IR35) depending on experience
* 48 hours per week, 4 days per week
* Shift: Nights
* Contract: Initially 3 months, with possible extension to 6 months
Your responsibilities
* Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc controls
* Machine complex components for predominantly the aerospace industry
* Work to tight tolerances using engineering drawings and specifications
* Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
* Perform machine maintenance and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimise workflow and efficiency
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years experience programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines / lathes using Fanuc controls
* Worked on a minimum of 2 axis lathes
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings
* Previous experience of machining metallic complex components, ideally within aerospace
* UK resident; DBS checks will be required; no visa sponsorship for overseas candidates
