Description
We are currently working with an established client in the financials services space based in Nottingham to hire a Java Developer to join one of their teams and support on a number of initiatives across middle office, risk and front office. This developer will be joining an established team or Java developers to enhance and maintain Java based suits across the team. The role will sit at AVP level and have the opportunity to progress throughout.
You'll support on the following
* Work as a hands on Java Developer
* Deliver Jira assigned tasks
* In Java, you'll work on and improve existing code, design and implement solutions.
* Participate in code reviews.
* Work closely with other engineers and leads for design guidance.
* Work with front end devs to backend-UI integration.
What you'll need
* 5 + yeas experience as a Java Developer
* 5+ years working in Financial Services
This opportunity will be contract to perm. The initial tenure will be 12 months contracting and then flip to permanent at the end. During the initial contract we'll be looking to offer £400 - £500 per day all in rate. Permanent salaries are negotiable at the end of the contract. You will also need to be available to work onsite 3 days a week in Nottingham.
