Are you a caring, enthusiastic and hard working person looking to make a big impact? We are looking for dedicated and caring Radiology Department assistants to support our brand new, state of the art Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Milford, Surrey. The CDC is part of Royal Surrey's continuing investment in its diagnostic capabilities and follows refurbishment of the Trust's interventional suite, MRI and X-ray facilities. This is a patient focused role.
Responsibilities
* Assist out-patients during their time in the radiology department, including transferring patients to and from the departments, greeting them on arrival, assisting with their preparation for examinations, and helping to provide a pleasant experience.
* Take on some admin roles which may include booking patients in for the appointment, stock management and room preparation for both CT and MRI examinations. Training for all will be provided.
* After a settling in period, you will be offered the opportunity to complete a cannulation course, which will allow you to progress to a band 3 position once competence has been confirmed.
* Assist radiologists, radiographers and sonographers undertaking diagnostic and therapeutic examinations.
* Provide care for patients whilst maintaining a safe and clean environment.
* Support a high quality clerical, portering, stock management and clinical support service when required to the Radiology Department.
