Job Overview
An exciting opportunity for a passionate Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to work in specialties including Cardiology, Medical, Surgical, Antimicrobial Stewardship, and Critical Care (desirable). Join our pharmacy team at The Wellington Hospital, rated “Good” by the CQC. We seek an enthusiastic individual with excellent transferable clinical skills.
The Wellington covers specialist units such as ICU, Gynaecology, CCU/HDU, Cardiac Treatment, and Digestive Health. This role offers diverse exposure and collaboration with experts in these fields.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality, comprehensive clinical pharmacy services across specialist wards.
* Participate in antimicrobial stewardship, oversee microbiology ward rounds, and support hospital antimicrobial strategies.
Candidate Requirements
* Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent)
* GPhC Registration
* Extensive pharmacy experience, including advanced clinical pharmacy in critical care
* Interest in antimicrobial stewardship (desirable experience)
* Strong initiative, motivation, and a ‘can do’ attitude
* Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
