The City of Lincoln Council has an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join our team.
About the Role
You will be part of the Housing Repairs Team, responsible for repairing and maintaining 7,800 properties throughout Lincoln. We pride ourselves on providing quality housing and repairs for our tenants.
We are looking for a friendly and approachable candidate who embodies our core values and provides excellent customer care to the residents of Lincoln.
This role is full-time (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and permanent. Standby and overtime opportunities are also available. Candidates must have a full driving licence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out all installations, repairs, and maintenance work required by the Authority and other electrical duties.
Candidate Requirements
* Ability to problem-solve to achieve right-first-time repairs.
* Effective communication skills with staff, managers, and customers.
* Decision-making skills for repairs or renewals.
* Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in all weather conditions.
* Experience in installation and maintenance of wiring in domestic, commercial, and industrial properties, with good fault diagnosis skills. Knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace.
