Sir Robert McAlpine has secured a\nprestigious contract to construct a state-of-the-art Battery\nManufacturing Facility. The initial phase of the project includes\nthe design and construction of a new 15GWh lithium-ion battery\nfacility, ancillary buildings, and site-wide external\nworks.
This Package Manager role will be\nlooking after work packages within the Building and fitout team as\npart of our £800m project.

The Package Manage\nrole
As a Package Manager within\nthe fitout team, you will oversee work packages as part of our\n£800m project. Reporting to\nthe Section Manager, you\nwill lead sub-contractor packages to deliver the project\nto the highest standards of safety and\nperformance.
Key\nResponsibilities:
* Take ownership of your package, ensuring all works\nare planned and coordinated, safe, and the site is clean and\norganised.
* Promote a\nculture of safety leadership with a ‘boots on the ground'\nmentality, ensuring all works are carried out as planned and\nsafely.
* Plan and\noversee all logistical requirements within your package, liaising\nwith the Works Manager and Logistics\nContractor.
* Produce\nshort-term programs and phase plans to accelerate works or mitigate\nissues, ensuring on-time delivery in line with the accepted\nprogram.
* Monitor\nprogress and performance, comparing planned vs. actual metrics,\nunderstanding trends, and reporting program implications to the\nProject Manager and package planner.
* Collaborate with other members of the\ninfrastructure team, considering the ‘big\npicture'.
* Ensure\ntechnical aspects and compliance of the package with contract\ndocuments, construction specifications, and\ndrawings.
* Review and\napprove Inspection and Test Plans.
* Conduct and record quality inspections using\nFieldView.
* Manage\ntechnical submittals and requests for information within your\npackage scope.
* Ensure the\npackage meets scope of works and sub-contract requirements,\nunderstanding SRM's obligations.
* Record key events and\nactivities.
* Promote and\nencourage the SRM Build Sure culture.

Fitout Focus:

* Industrial MEP Fitout: Co-ordinate and\ncollaborate with the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades\nwithin the facility, ensuring excellence in quality and safety\nduring delivery
* Clean and Dry\nRooms: Manage the construction and fitout of clean and dry\nrooms, ensuring they meet the stringent quality and\nperformance requirements for a battery manufacturing\nenvironment.
* Coordination\nwith Design and Engineering Teams: Work closely with design\nand engineering teams to resolve any technical challenges during\nthe fitout phase.
* Subcontractor Management: Ensure\nsubcontractors for fitout works adhere to contract terms, deliver\non time, and maintain high-quality\nstandards.
* Health and\nSafety Compliance: Coordinate with the safety manager to\nensure all fitout activities comply with health and safety\nregulations.
Your\nProfile:
* A qualification in Construction Management,\nEngineering or a similar field and / or and trade\nbackground.

* Experience delivering multi-million-pound building\nprojects.
* Managed Fitout packages for high-profile projects,\nensuring quality and safety standards.
\n
* Led weekly progress meetings,\nproviding detailed reports on package status, identifying delays,\nand implementing corrective actions.
* Oversaw procurement of materials, negotiating with\nsuppliers for competitive pricing while maintaining high\nquality.
* Worked\nclosely with design and engineering teams to resolve technical\nchallenges during construction.
* Managed site activities and coordinated with the\nsafety manager to ensure compliance with health and safety\nregulations.
* Knowledge and\nexperience building clean and dry rooms on large-scale industrial\nprojects.
* Experience in\nindustrial MEP fitout would\nbe advantageous
* Experience of NEC\ncontract administration, including the management of\nEarly Warning Notices and Compensation\nEvents.
* Good\nknowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant\nrules, regulations, and quality standards.

* Familiarity with construction software packages\nsuch as FieldView, 4P, Dalux, and Asta is\ndesirable.
