Job Title: Breakfast & After School Playworker - Derby DE24 at Junior Adventures Group UK
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Wyndham Spencer Academy, Wyndham Street, Alvaston, Derby, Derbyshire, DE24 0EP
Contracted Hours: 19 hours per week during term time (with the opportunity to work up to 40 hrs per week during our holiday clubs if desired)
Contract: Permanent
Working hours
Operational Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.30 - 9.00 for Breakfast Club and 15.00 - 18.00 for After School Club
Holiday Club: 8.30 - 17.30, Monday to Friday
NB: Any hours worked over 19 will be paid as overtime
Pay
Up to £12.21 per hour (plus holiday pay)

Responsibilities
* Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more ensuring they are age-appropriate.
* Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, including signing in and out processes.
* Provide refreshments for the children.

* Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere for the children in our care, from picking them up from school to safely delivering them back to their parents or caregivers.
* Collaborate with the team to plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more.
* Ensure all activities are age and skill-appropriate while prioritizing safety, including the proper use of equipment and space.
* Provide refreshments for the kids while maintaining high standards of hygiene and health and safety.
* Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
* Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies and keep all relevant documentation, including accident and incident forms, up to date and completed as needed.
* Ensure proper sign-in and sign-out processes and procedures are followed for all children in our care.
* Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools.
* Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
* Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
* Keep all information and documents related to the children in our care confidential and secure.
* Inspire our team members and the children in our care to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.
Requirements
* Compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) policy.
* Exemption from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
* Two references (one from most recent employer and one from a childcare setting, if applicable).
* DBS check to be conducted on your behalf; prepare the required documentation.
* You must meet these requirements to be eligible for the hiring process.
