Transport Planner - based Stoke on Trent
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Salary: £30,237 per annum
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday - weekly rotating 07:00-15:00, 10:00-18:00 and 14:00-22:00 (flexibility required)
Location: Stoke on Trent ST4 4EX
DHL, an award winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to play a vital role ensuring continuous improvement of planning processes within the transport department.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will
• Receiving data CSV files and importing into the Transport Management System
• Planning using Paragon software - working with 200 stores, 100 suppliers and outbases
• Good critical thinking skills, the ability to work in fast paced, changing environment
• Able to communicate at all levels, internally and externally - excellent people skills
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
• Transport Planning / Scheduling experience is essential
• Excellent knowledge of planning principles and experience of Paragon planning software
• Excellent IT skills including Excel including pivot tables
• A strong team player, with an eye for detail and a flexible approach
• Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
