What you’ll be doing
1. Assist in developing and maintaining network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
2. Support the configuration and monitoring of security solutions, with a focus on Fortinet, CheckPoint and Cisco technologies.
3. Participate in implementing cybersecurity best practices, including patching, vulnerability management, and access control.
4. Contribute to infrastructure documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity for operational processes.
5. Collaborate with senior engineers on projects involving network upgrades, security enhancements, and system migrations.
6. Monitor system performance and respond to alerts, escalating issues as needed.
7. Develop skills in automation and scripting to streamline routine tasks and improve efficiency.
The skills and experience you'll need to succeed
Required Skills & Experience
8. Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching).
9. Familiarity with firewall technologies, preferably Fortinet, CheckPoint and Cisco.
10. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and common threat mitigation techniques.
11. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
12. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
13. Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE, or Cisco CCNA.
14. Exposure to Windows and Linux server environments.
15. Experience with network monitoring tools and basic scripting.
