Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team in our baby room. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in caring for children under 2, and play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to children in a nurturing environment. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage and lead activities that promote children’s development.
Responsibilities
* Provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children aged 0-5 years.
* Plan and implement engaging educational activities that support the developmental needs of each child.
* Observe and assess children’s progress, through professional judgement.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child’s progress and any concerns.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare and education.
* Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early learning.
* Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring all children are cared for appropriately.
* Drive initiatives that promote children’s well-being and social skills within the nursery setting.
Skills
* Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
* Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Leadership abilities to guide and inspire both children and colleagues.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.
* A genuine passion for childcare and the development of young children.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
