Family Support Worker – 24/7 Supervision

Hours: Full-time, ad hoc shifts available
Contract: Approx. 12 weeks (with potential to extend)

We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Family Support Workers to provide 24/7 supervision and support for a mother and her newborn in the Wirral. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in safeguarding, guidance, and day-to-day support during a vulnerable and important period for a young family.
We can offer up to full-time hours on an ad hoc basis, with the assignment expected to last 12 weeks or potentially longer.
About the Role
As a Family Support Worker, you will work on a rota providing continuous supervision and practical support to ensure the wellbeing and safety of both mum and baby. You will:
Provide 1:1 supervision and guidance to a mother caring for her newborn
Support with daily routines, including feeding, safe sleep, hygiene, and bonding
Promote positive parenting and empower the mother to develop her confidence and skills
Monitor interactions and ensure the ongoing safety and welfare of the child
Maintain accurate, detailed records and observations
Communicate promptly with the wider team regarding any concerns
Offer emotional support and encouragement in a calm, non-judgmental mannerWhat We’re Looking For
