Position: Legal Secretary/Paralegal
Department: Residential Conveyancing. Experience with Sasines titles, registrations and transfers of title would be a distinct advantage.

About the Role:
We are a modern law firm specialising in domestic conveyancing, wills, Powers of Attorney and Executries. Our conveyancing team are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Legal Secretary to join their successful and growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our young team of Solicitors and paralegals handling a broad range of residential property transactions.
We’re looking for a special person to bring a depth of experience to our collaborative and supportive conveyancing team.
Key Responsibilities:
You will provide essential administrative and technical support to the Residential Property team, including:
Technical Duties:
* Producing, amending, and formatting legal documents with accuracy and efficiency.
* Proofreading and preparing documents.
* Utilising software like Scotlis, Lender Exchange, Denovo and other third-party platforms.
* Applying for property searches and liaising with providers.
* Preparing and submitting LBTT and Land Registration forms.
* Typing, dealing with correspondence, and liaising with clients/other side Solicitors.
* Managing fee earners diaries, booking and arranging appointments and meetings, organising mail and emails, photocopying and typing.
Experience / Skills Required:
* Minimum of 1 year previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal in a Residential Conveyancing team.
* Excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities.
* Strong IT skills (Word, Excel and experience of a case load management system).
* Excellent spelling and punctuation.
* A positive, adaptable approach to teamwork and client service.
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
