Are you looking for a Rewarding Support Worker Role in Complex Care?

We are looking for friendly, caring, and reliable Support Workers to provide one-to-one, person-centred support for a young man in his 30s who has a brain injury, epilepsy, and is wheelchair dependent.

This is a genuinely rewarding role, ideal for someone who is patient, confident, and comfortable supporting complex needs and challenging behaviour, while encouraging independence, wellbeing, and an active, social lifestyle.

He enjoys making the most of life and loves watching films, going to the cinema, getting out and about for social activities, and taking part in games and interactive experiences.

He is supported by a multidisciplinary team, including Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Hydrotherapy, and staff play an important role in helping carry out these therapy programs. This includes attending hydrotherapy sessions in the pool and supporting communication strategies that are already in place.

He also has a much-loved kitten called Velma, so being happy around pets is part of everyday life in the home.

To support him well, we are looking for people who are warm, positive, and approachable, with a good sense of awareness and sensitivity to their surroundings.

You'll need to be comfortable using your own initiative, working closely as part of a team, and building a trusting, respectful relationship with him, responding confidently and calmly to his individual needs.
