Description Senior Consultant (3-month FTC) Manchester Role Overview Vario is a market leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm, Pinsent Masons. Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates; Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management and Managed Legal Services (MLS). The Senior Consultant will be instrumental in building the consultancy practice, developing strategic client relationships, identifying new opportunities and converting opportunities into chargeable engagements. A significant part of the role is to support end-to-end CLM implementation projects. The Senior Consultant will be expected to operate independently when required and be confident in first contact situations taking a lead role in client engagements throughout the full relationship lifecycle. This role will focus on: Provide strategic insight and though leadership to the consultancy practice Develop procedures, methodologies, templates and online tools Represent the firm at external forums and engage with legal/consulting communities Conduct research on client needs, competitors and products Identify sales opportunities and build lasting client relationships Create promotional content, storyboards and demo prototypes Support RFP processes with written/visual content and formal presentations Prepare and present proposals for consultancy services Facilitate workshops, kick-off meetings and requirements gathering Define scope, KPIs and lead design discussions Coordinate internal resources and engage third-party providers Manage project planning, implementation and technical delivery (CLM, automation portals, Microsoft apps) Ensure stakeholder communication and validate deliverables Oversee post-delivery handover, reporting and service improvement Develop case studies and contribute to promotional content Build client relationships and act as trusted advisor on technology adoption Manage mid-to-large client engagements end-to-end Supervise workstreams and ensure delivery to agreed plan, cost and quality Our standard working hours are 9.00am-5.00pm, however, we are happy to consider flexible working requests. Candidate Overview We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience: Advanced written/verbal communications; confident presenting to stakeholders Creative thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to influence and build trust with internal / external stakeholders Hands on technical skills Strong project planning and organisational skills; detail–orientated Experience managing multiple projects, risks and tight deadlines Collaborative team player with commercial awareness Fluency in French, German or Spanish would be an advantage What can we offer you?
