Project Director We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Director/Head of Construction to join our Sellafield team to work on a new Framework for us. You will work alongside the Framework Director within the Nuclear business This will include leading to ensure effective mobilisation of new framework contracts and implementation of smooth transition arrangements. The Project Director Role A senior member of the Framework delivery team. Responsible for the management, leadership, support, and development of a group and/or team of technical professionals in the timely execution of operations in the pre-construction and/or construction phases of a project. Responsible for organisation and coordination of all construction and logistical operations and procedures, in order to ensure organisational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety in all relevant phases of the project. Effectively communicates with all parties. Willingly participates as a collaborative team member, supporting others and occasionally acting as Framework Director as required during periods of illness or holiday. Is fully committed to and actively promotes all aspects of Build Sure and SRM values, culture, and behaviours throughout the project. Your Profile Demonstrable working experience within the construction / civil engineering industry, including the management of construction activities, processes, means and methods in a senior operational level Have the APM PMQ (or equivalent ) qualification or be a Chartered Project Professional Proven track record of the management and successful delivery of a mixed portfolio of complex packages / construction project aspects Proven technical, engineering background, with a broad portfolio of experience Current working knowledge and commercial understanding of forms of contract A strong understanding of collaboration and the need to develop internal and external relationships, with proven people management skills Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate at all levels and present ideas effectively Skilled in multi-tasking, prioritising, and managing a complex workload Developed time management skills with the ability to multi-task and reprioritise tasks when necessary An appreciation of the qualities of leadership and an understanding of the links between vision, values, and the business objective Rewards We're ready to invest in you and your future, and offer wide-ranging, performance-related progression opportunities.
